Chyler Leigh's Directorial Debut Gallery

The time has finally come. Ever since 2019 when we were able to break the news that after Melissa Benoist made her directorial debut in season 5, Chyler Leigh would have the chance to get behind the camera and direct her first episode. It is very perfect in our minds that Chyler, who has been Alex since day 1, gets to direct another wonderfully talented actor, Olivia Nikkanen who is playing the part of her own character just a bit younger. Chyler is a subject matter expert on Alex and Kara and their relationship so we are thinking that the events of last night were all set up for Chyler to just knock it out of the park with her basically new cast! Check out these 26 new images from next week's episode and a few behind the scenes of Chyler directing!

So...I don't think an actual prequel series would make the most sense for Izabela and Olivia, just because the start of the Supergirl series, proper, would take place 6 years from the characters age in the flashbacks. Trying to make it a "Midvale" series would contradict the timeline too much, for what we know of Kara and Alex's history prior to the pilot.

BUT...I have to say, I would REALLY love it if they brought Izabela into Stargirl...perhaps as Earth 2's Supergirl?

There is no indication this will actually happen. I just think it would be amazing.

I have been holding out hope Melissa would pop up on Stargirl as Power Girl on Earth 2. But Isabela would be fun, if Melissa would prefer not to do any DC for a bit.

Right? Either give her Melissa's original suit (since it's warmer in Georgia, where they film), or get her a brand new Supergirl suit?!? I'd be 100% in.

I know it's unlikely, but I really would still love to see a crossover between Melissa's Supergirl and Stargirl.

Maybe, once crossovers are an option again, and if Melissa is willing to come back (depending on how the show ends). They could find a way to include Stargirl and her JSA in their multiverse. We know the multiverse is still alive, since Jay Garrick, as portrayed by John Wesley Shipp, is appearing both in The Flash and Stargirl, this year. This would also allow us at a final crossover with Melissa, as well, which would be really great. I feel like COVID is robbing Supergirl's final season of a lot of cameos, crossovers, and final interactions that we perhaps normally would have gotten.

And Young Supergirl it appears to me (I have no inside information) gets to duplicate the move Superman did in Season something of the 1950s Superman, ramming an asteroid head on. Bad headache results. Yes, I am Captain Past, and did watch it more or less when it was first shown.

That episode is titled,"Panic In The Sky" and they did remakes of it in season 3 of the live action Superboy T.V. series and the first season of Lois & Clark.
Panic in The Sky is one of my favorite episodes of the Reeves show.

After it goes on hiatus in two weeks, Supergirl apparently returns August 24, following Stargirl-- which returns August 10.

My, it appears that Cat Grant gets closer to finding aliens than she had planned. Hopefully she is not mind wiped. At a guess they tried their neat death ray guns, and, well, Kryptonians are hard to damage. Not clear where the kryptonite poisoning is happening.

Wow, Izabela really looks like Melissa especially in the prom dress.

I had the same reaction! It's stunning. Izabela is the perfect choice. She looks like a young Melissa but there's also a feel about her.
